Purse Tag

Scary as it is, here it is Jen. Pictures of my bag and all that I carry in it. If you have not been tagged, go for it. I would love to know I am not the only one to carry so much around.

A few things here are my favorite new sunglasses, a pair of Oakleys, the book Three Weeks with My Brother by Nicholas and Micah Sparks...good read. The Ensign, I like to have something to read in case I get stuck waiting somewhere. Diet Coke, its usually a bottle of Dasani water but you caught me on a tired day. Black Chocolate cell phone, don't love it but it works. 4 different types of lip gloss...I don't know why I really only use 2 of them. Alcohol swabs, Purell hand gel, CPR mask for mouth to mouth and pain killer...I'm a nurse, they are must haves. ID badge for work. Pocket calendar, I have tried to get into the digital age of planning but just can't do it. Notes and power points from training days at work. Receipts and other junk I threw away after this photo.

Longing for Lake Powell

So lately, I can't dream about anything but Lake Powell. Every night, Lake Powell. I can't wait to get into that warm water and my feet in that soft warm sand. This is my lifelong best buddy Shelly and I tubing last August. She and her new husband Brian met us up on the boat for a weekend. It was our 12th anniversary and we spent the day skiing, tubing, swimming, and simply enjoying the lake, what could be better? That night we drove into the thriving metropolis of Page and went to our favorite Mexican restaurant there, Zapados. I highly recommend it especially after spending a day on the lake.

This is our friend Rachelle wakeboarding, check the lake behind her...WOW! This, in my world would be heaven. By far one of my favorite places!

Looking at these reminds me of some the best days of my life. All the way back to childhood.

Personal Interviews, Home Study...Check!

Our family room the night before our home study. I realized we had no pictures of Christ up, no temple pics, no Family Proclamation, not even any pics of us!! So what does one do on her day off? Freak out! And then go to work.

This is the room finally all done, ledges up and filled with pics of us and our family. We have had this idea for a while, ledges filled with black and white pics, maybe we just needed some encouragement. And me and all my joy in the middle of my preparation for the big home study. It went well. Larry our social worker said we were actually one of his most prepared couples, which helped resolve a lot of my worry.
