The Temple and Warrior Zad

We went to the temple last night, it was our first trip back since having Zad. I was overcome again with immense gratitude and love for Norma and our incredibly loving Heavenly Father. Last night during our worship session a prayer was said for the children and babies of the parents who were there. They were blessed to be "warriors against the evil one." All of a sudden I could see in my minds eye, Zad years from now with the look and attitude of a Stripling Warrior; strong, brave, couregous, valiant, and determined to choose the right above all else. I had a moment of feeling so honored to be asked to be his mother; not only by Norma but by my Heavenly Father as well. What an amazing responsibility and blessing I have been given!

Your writings always bring a tear or two to my eyes. I'm so happy for you. I wish I could have seen you on Sunday when I was there for a min.

I agree with Tami, You always manage to make me fight tears, especially after reading your comment. Thank you, Angie, that means a lot to me and I have always felt the same with you :) You were a such a help during my teens, I don't think you know just how much.

Oh, and my dad re-married last August, they still live in the same house in Mesa, but will probably be moving by the end of the year.

yep all digitally. photoshop is fantastic. :) a bit pricey, but worth every penny. plus you have a cute little guy to put in all your pages! here's the lowdown... :)
I have a few favorite sites I use. www.shabbyprincess.com (click on downloads) has tons of free papers/embellishments/alphabets etc. it's fantastic. :) They are also good to use when you're first starting out because they give them to you in "Collections" that help you see what goes together well. When you get more comfortable with it all, pull stuff from different collections and go crazy! :) Another site I use for inspiration is www.scrapbook.com click on gallery>digital layouts>favorites These are pages other people have filtered through and marked as their favorite. There's some AWESOME stuff there, and if you want to figure out how to do something, just ask. They're pretty good about getting back to you with what they did. Scrapbook.com also has a newsletter you can sign up for that gives you something free every week. (papers/embellishments/etc.) I have NEVER paid for anything for digital scrapbooking. The site I use for fonts is www.1001freefonts.com. It's fantastic. It might take you a bit to figure out how to install this on your computer, but it's worth it. :) The last thing I would mention is www.brusheezy.com It has photoshop brushes with everything you can imagine and can really make some cute touches on your page. if you need help knowing how to use brushes just let me know :) another "new" favorite site is www.scrapbooksetc.com>free collage templates. How to make super cute multi picture layouts in pretty much no time at all. :) worth a look for sure! I love you! hope this helps!

Just the other day I was thinking about how Zad will be a Strippling Warrior. I can't wait to go back to the temple with you as you are sealed as an eternal family. I love you forever!

Beautiful picture, beautiful post.

I remember after I had my #1 I felt this overwhelming responsibility that literally brought me to my knees. It's huge, isn't it?
